This is a vessel produced by the popular pottery company, Hara Seiwa Touen.
It is decorated with two different techniques: a Mishima-te floral pattern, in which a seal is pressed onto the pottery, and a floral pattern in which three-dimensional effects are created by heaping up the ceramic clay.
The one-pointed gold painting in the center of the floral pattern also adds a nice accent.
The rounded shape is lovely, and the simple yet warm design makes it a vessel you will want to use every day.
