Delicately thin, these bowls were fired at the temperature used for porcelain (approx. 1,300°C). Cherry blossoms and autumn leaves ("unkin"), meaning cloud and brocade, remind us of the four seasons of Kyoto. The cherry blossoms and autumn leaves are given a textured effect through the use of dots of white slip. This cup makes a welcome birthday gift for people of all ages.
