These charming items were made using the Mishima technique, which originated in the Korean Peninsula. Stamps with patterns are made first, and are then pressed on still soft, but already shaped clay. As this type is not glazed, the texture seems rough at first, but as you use, it will become smooth within six months, and will eventually turn glossy black.
