This is a "tsubotsubo" made by Rakunyu, a Raku ware kiln.
The rounded shape of the tsubotsubo makes it a lovely vessel that is valued in Kyoto cuisine and chakaiseki (tea ceremony).
In chakaiseki, it is always used when entertaining a new guest and has a strong connection with the tea ceremony.
It is ideal for use at festive occasions and when entertaining guests.
